Overview

Because of the remote location (11km out of Falls Creek help_outline) winter is run as a series week-long events.

Most weeks are open to anyone over 18 (Scout member or not), although some weeks are only available to specific groups.

Venturers help_outline have three weeks; one of which is specifically for South Australians.

External group bookings are also taken, subject to availability. help_outline

Our Ski Weeks are incredibly good value info_outline.

How’s it work?

There are three Venturer weeks available each year.

The South Australian week is organised separately to normal weeks and is only open to South Australians. Find out more.

The remaining two Venturer weeks are available to any Venturer (or close friend [we’ve even had exchange students!]).

We help organise all your ski gear and coordinate transport (often with help from friendly parents ;-) ) from Melbourne. help_outline

Venturer weeks are an amazing experience for an incredibly low price, and can definitely be used for badgework.

Also consider the Dick & Pip Smith Leadership Through Adventure Fund (in particular if cost is an issue).

The jewel of the Rover section.

The Bogong Rover Chalet is a owned and managed by the Rover section. And that means we’ve made sure Rovers get the best experience.

Rovers have heaps of weeks open to them, with peak Ski conditions and an amazing party environment.

Any Ski Week is open to Rovers, but our Ski Moots info_outline are the best of the best.

Also consider the Dick & Pip Smith Leadership Through Adventure Fund (in particular if cost is an issue).

A week at the Bogong Rover Chalet makes for the highlight of any Rover or Venturer year.

We have a special SA Venturer Ski Week where we help you get here and help sort out all your gear. Book now.

All interstaters are welcome to all our other weeks as well!

Bring your whole Venturer Unit or Rover Crew to one of our weeks for the best away activity ever; or come on your own, we’re still really pumped to have you!

Even non-Scouts are welcome at the Bogong Rover Chalet.

In winter we have visits from groups from walking clubs, but we also have visits from general members of the public.

Even if you’re not a member of the Scout Association, you can still book and come to the Bogong Rover Chalet.
